Is this Hadith reliable?
حديث عبد الله بن جعفر قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: اصنعوا لآل جعفر طعاما، فإنه قد أتاهم أمر شغلهم

Yes it is.
Imams Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah (rahimahumullah) have recorded this Hadith.
Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah) has declared it authentic (hasan sahih).

Translation
[When the news of the demise of Sayyiduna Ja’far (radiyallahu’anhu) arrived] Nabi (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) said: ‘Prepare food for the family of Ja’far, for they are overcome with a matter [of grief] that has occupied them.
