Mention of a ‘white house’ in Hadith

There is a narration of Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) where he said that ‘Qiyamah will not come until a group of my Ummah conquer the White House.’

1) Is there such a narration which exists? What is the narration?

2) If the narration does exist, what is meant by the White House? Is it the one in North America?

3) If there is such a narration, is there any mention of flags?

Answer

Imam Muslim (rahimahullah) has recorded the following Hadith which mentions a ‘white house’:

“…A small army of Muslims will conquer the white house; the home of the Persian ruler [Kisra] or the home of the family of the Persian ruler”

(Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1822)

This Hadith clearly explains that the ‘white house’ refers to the palace of the Persian ruler, which was conquered during the time of Sayyiduna ‘Umar (radiyallahu ‘anhu). There is no reference to North America.

Furthermore, this narration does not mention flags.

(Refer: Sahih Muslim with Al Minhaj of ‘Allamah Nawawi, Hadith: 4688)

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
