A little wealth which suffices you is better than abundant wealth which distracts you

Can you provide the reference for this:

Sayyiduna Abud Darda (radiyallahu ‘anhu) said:

“Know that a little wealth which suffices you is better than an abundance of wealth that distracts you [from Allah]”

Answer

Imam Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah (rahimahullah) has recorded this as the statement of Sayyiduna Abud Darda (radiyallahu ‘anhu), as part of a longer narration.

(Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah: 35722. Also see: Hilyatul Awliya, vol. 1 pg. 212)

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
