What is status of following Hadith?
وعن النبي (صلى الله عليه وسلم) أنه قال إن الله لما خلق الدنيا لم يخلق فيها ذهبا ولا فضة قال فلما أن أهبط آدم وحواء أنزل معهما ذهبا وفضة فسلكه ينابيع في الأرض منفعة لأولادهما من بعدهما قال وذلك جعله صداق آدم لحواء فلا ينبغي لأحد أن يتزوج إلا بصداق

Imam Ibn ‘Asakir (rahimahullah) has cited this narration without a complete chain of narrators. I am therefore unable to verify the authenticity.
