What is the status of the narrations which state that the lifespan of the earth is six thousand/seven thousand years and we are currently in the last thousand?

‘Allamah ibn Qayyim Al Jawziyyah (rahimahullah) has declared these narrations a fabrication.
The knowledge of Qiyamah is known to Allah Ta’ala alone as established through several verses of the Holy Quran. Were these narrations authentic, the date of Qiyamah would be known to all.
