At what age after foster care did Rasulullah (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) return home?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by HadithAnswers.com

At what age did Nabi (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) return to his mother from Hadhrat Halimah Sa’diya (radiyallahu anha)?

At that time, was Nabi (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) 4 or 6 years old?

Answer

Sayyidah Halimah (radiyallahu’anha) initially brought Rasulullah (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) back to makkah at the age of 2. She convinced Rasulullah (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) mother to allow her to keep him for longer, and took him back to her village.

‘Allamah ‘Iraqi (rahimahullah) and others state that he was returned aged 4.
