Arabic books that ‘Ulama may refer to for fabricated Hadiths

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by HadithAnswers.com

What is a good book on the compilation of fabricated (mawdu’) Hadiths?

I am aware of Al-Mawḍū‘āt al-Kubra but i have read from ‘Ulama that many Hadiths are in that book are not really fabrications.

Is there any reliable book which discusses fabricated (mawdu’) Hadiths preferably by Shaykh Muhammad Awamah?

Answer

My esteemed Shaykh; Al-Muhaddith, Shaykh Muhammad ‘Awwamah (may Allah protect him) has not written any such book.
Mulla ‘Ali Qari’s Al-Masnu’ with Shaykh ‘Abdul Fattah Abu Ghuddah’s footnotes is an excellent book coupled with Tanzihush Shari’ah of Ibn ‘Arraq (rahimahumullah).

‘Allamah Sakhawi (rahimahullah) has also discussed many such Hadiths in Al-Maqasidul Hasanah.

Note 1: The field of Hadith classification is open to difference of opinion. Therefore one would – from time to time- encounter such differences in a Hadith being deemed a fabrication or not…

Note 2: Before studying such books, one needs a solid understanding of Hadith Terminology and its sciences, or else one would be easily confused. Its best to refer to a local Hadith expert for initial guidance in this field.

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
