Answer

Wa’alaykum as Salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,

  1. Anabia – a name of Urdu/Hindi origin which means: fragrance, odor.
  1. Areeba – a name of Urdu origin which means: wise.
  1. Saima – a name of Arabic and Urdu origin which means: a fasting woman.

Ibn Al-Mussayib (may Allāḥ have mercy on him) reports that his father, Hazn bin Wahb, went to the Prophet (peace be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked, “What is your name?” He replied, “My name is Hazn.” The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “You are Sahl.” Hazn said, “I will not change the name with which my father has named me.” Ibn Al-Mussayib added: “We have had roughness (in character) ever since.” [Bukhārī]

Based on the above narration, the scholars mention that the name of a person will have an effect on their personality and temperament.

It is better to name a child after a great Islāmic personality of the past in order to incline the child towards piety and righteousness. For example, the names of the wives of the Prophet ﷺ, his female companions, or other upright and pious women.
