Hanafis and Prawns

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Fatwaa.com

السلام عليكم ورحمةالله وبركاته

In terms of Prawns. Is there any ruling in the hanafi school that permits it but stipulates that it cannot be ate for 3 consecutive days?

This is something I heard from a few hanafis. Is there such a rule that something that is Makrooh Tahrimi can be indulged in, but not for 3 or more consecutive days.

Shukran

Answer

Wa’alaykum as Salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,

No, there is no such ruling.

Prawns are either regarded as fish, in which case they are permissible, and can be eaten multiple times each day, or they are not regarded as fish, in which case they cannot be consumed at all.
