Leading Salaat with your head uncovered

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by DarulUloomTT.net

Question:

salam,

I would to know the ruling about leading Salaat with your head uncovered and praying fard with children making noise and running in front of you.

Thanks

Answer:

Wa Alaikum As Salaam,

Many scholars have mentioned that it is disliked to perform Salah with the head uncovered. It is even more detestable to lead the Salaah in this manner. The reason for this is that such actions are in opposition to the teachings and practice of the Prophet (SAS). However, Salaah lead in this manner will be valid.

Children ‘making noise’ and running in front of a person performing Salah are indeed a great disturbance and an obstruction in one’s concentration and devotion in salaah which are essential requirements in performing Salaah. Hence, these acts are detestable and totally disliked, and should be discouraged, prohibited and /or controlled as far as possible. If this occurs when one is performing Salaah, then the Salaah will still be valid.
