Question

Question regarding gaps between periods. If a woman has periods normally for 10 days. After 7 days she sees nothing,  no discharge no blood Day 8 she sees yellow discharge. Then nothing 10th day in the morning she sees a spot of blood.

240 hours completed at 7 o’clock at night on the 10th day. When would she consider her end of the period?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

According to the Hanafi scholars, the maximum number of days that a woman can be considered in the state of menstruation is 10 consecutive days.

Therefore in this case after 10 days she would be considered pure for a minimum of 15 days since 15 days is the minimum gap for the state of purity between menstruations.

She should complete her ghusl and perform her prayers exactly 10 days after her initial bleeding.
