Can I work in a Non-Muslim Bank in India?

Question

Sir, I am a banking student and I want to ask that can I work in a non-Muslim bank in India?

        بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيْم

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

Ibn Mas’ud Radiallahu Anhu narrates: “The Messenger of Allah cursed the one who consumed usury (Riba) and the one who charged it, those who witnessed it, and the one who recorded it.”[1]

Allama Yousuf Ludianavi said: “It is prohibited (Haram) to work for a bank or in a bank that is based on interest.”[2]
