Halal meat shop with debts.

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by DarulUloomTT.net

Q. There is a halal poultry shop which a group of muslims bought, but the money that they used to buy the company was a loan. The time has now reached for them to pay that loan. They have the money and they are not paying the loan. Is it halal to buy meat from them?

A. Once it is clearly established that the meat sold at the poultry is halal, then it is permissible to continue to buy from them. Their action of not paying a loan has no effect on the halal meats that they are selling.

And Allah knows best.
