Hair from Waxing Touched my Feet

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by DarulIftaBirmingham

Question

My sister does waxing and sometimes small bits are left of it on the floor when she gets done. I avoid them since they can stick to the skin. Recently I found out a few small bits stuck to the bottom of my feet. I don’t know at all when they got there or how long they have been there she waxed the day before and last week as well I believe I’m not sure. The issue at hand is that do I have to repeat any prayers? How will I know how many?

I also pray qada prayers from a time when I didn’t use to pray to make up for them. This I do daily. I don’t keep track of which qada I prayed with which prayer and how many. I only keep track of the ones left to make up for. This has been causing so much waswasa and internal struggle I can’t figure out what is right and what is wrong please guide me. I am very restless and concerned as I don’t want to do anything sinful.

Answer

Saaiduna Abu Hurairah narrates that the Prophet (PBUH) said, ‘Allah has forgiven my ummah regarding those waswasas that creep into their hearts so long as they do not act upon them or bring them into their tongues’.  (Mishkatul Masaabeeh p.18 v.1)

Regarding your question, the hair is not considered to be impure. Therefore, by stepping on it will not make your feet impure and subsequently, you will not be required to do qadha of any prayers.

Only Allah knows best.
