Is it permissible for a Hanafi to follow the Jamaa’ah in the Haramain for the Asr Salaah?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Respected Mufti,is it permissible for a hanafi to follow the jamaa’ah in the haramain for the asr salaah that is still in the time of zuhr for a hanafi? If the answer is yes, then why is it permissible to leave the madhab of Abu Hanifa in this instance?JazakALLAH

Answer

(Fatwa: 1311/963/L=1431)

According to Imam Muhammad and Imam Abu Yusuf, Imam Tahavi and as per one narration from Imam Abu Hanifa (رحمهم الله), the time of Zuhar ends on mithl awwal (when the shadow of an object reaches to its length). Owing to the virtues of the salah in Harmain Sharifain, the Ulama have allowed to follow the opinion of Imam Muhammad and Imam Abu Yusuf (رحمهما الله). Hence, a Hanafi should offer Asr salah in Harmain Sharifain with jamah so that he could not miss its virtues. In many issues, the Ashab al-Tarjih (Fiqh scholars) have preferred the opinions of Imam Muhammad and Imam Abu Yusuf (رحمهم الله) which is followed by the all hanafis. The Ulama have mentioned that a man is not ousted from hanafi maslak if he follows the rulings of Imam Muhammad and Imam Abu Yusuf (رحمهم الله).
