Being Drunk and Divorce

Q: If the wife’s family  makes the husband drink something which makes him drunk. Thereafter they extract a divorce from him, will this divorce be valid?

A:Normally when a drunk man divorces his wife the divorce will occur. But in this case because the husband was unaware that he was made to drink something that would make him drunk therefore the divorce will not occur. (Fatwa Raheemiyah volume 5 page 310)
