Q: Is watching cooking shows on TV Haraam (impermissible)?
A: Even if for a moment we assume that the animate pictures of televisions are acceptable, there will definitly be some other factors that will make it unacceptable such as the faces of ghair mahaarim (members of the opposite sex that one cannot look at), music and scantily dressed women. Hence the safest option would be to exercise caution.
