Suffering from Waswasa

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

I suffer from severe waswasa amd every time I go toilet to urinate or pass stool and I notice a thick white substance which pobably could be wadhi however I assume it is semen even though I had felt no desire or any fantasies or dirty thoughts. How ever because of yhe waswasa I think back if I had any thoughts and if I did ( and I felt no desire or excitement and which isn’t classed as a dirty thought) I assume it is semen and take a ghusl bath.

One time when I woke up and went to urinate and when I wiped myself I noticed a white slippery what I assume as thin, and ever so sightly thick and I’m unsure if it is wadhi, semen or mazi. Is ghusl necessary? Even though I recall and certain i had no wet dream, however do to waswasa I plant the idea in my head that I may have and then i think back if I had any thoughts ( e.g of a kids tv programme based on love or a non dirty fleeting thought) and If i did i assume It is semen.

What should i do  because it is getting difficult?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

According to your email address, we understand you are a female. Furthermore, you state you suffer from severe waswasa. The thick white substance you refer to is not semen, wadi or mazi. Your assumption that is semen is due to the waswasa you suffer from. You should consult your physician for diagnosis and medication. We make Dua Allah grant you Shifa.Ameen.

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
