I am working in an IT company from which i will be supporting to other client.
Client pay to company per hour basis to organisation for 9hrs/day.
As per company policy I am also supposed to work for 9 hrs per day.
My concern is that I dont have that much of work for the day to work for 9 hrs.
Hardly I do have 2 hrs work per day. Once after the completion of work I will leave for the day without completing the 9 hrs and ensuring that there is no work pending
In client timesheet and company timesheet I will enter 9 hrs only.
I used to get salary on monthly basis as per my pay scale.
My question is that my money is haram for the remaining time which I am not in office?
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
In principle, one’s contract with the employer is based on time or work. If your contract is based on time then you are required to stay for the entire duration of the working hours. If you have completed the required work before the completion of your working hours, you may leave for the day provided that is done so with the consent of your employer. However, if you did not obtain permission then leaving for the day would be regarded as violating the terms of the contractual employment agreement.
