Is smoking is haraam in islam? I mean to say total haraam like alcohol?

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
It is makrooh tahreemi to smoke since:
- It is injurious to one’s health.
- It gives off a bad odour.
- It causes harm to others.
- Waste of money.
- It is harmful for a person’s Deen, mind, will power and environment.
- It serves as a bad example.
Etc. etc.
The hurmah of smoking is different from alcohol that alcohol has been clearly prohibited in the Noble Qurān whereas smoking has not been clearly mentioned.
