assalamulaiakum w.r.w.b janab mufti sahib , may almighty allah bless you and reward you for the good work you are doing. aameen i have 4 children , 2 girls and 2 boys should i divide the property equally in my life time to them ? is it preferable to divide and settle the property in my life time , or should i maintain status quo and allow the children amongst themselves after my death ? is this preferable to have the children divide amongst them ? what if i do not give a share to my sons and give the property to my daughters alone as my daughter take good care fo me ? is this permissible ? pls. advice thanks and vassalam.

The best way is to give the sons and daughters equal shares in your life i.e. distribute the property in four shares and give their shares in their possession and get yourself separated from it. Giving the property only to the daughters and depriving the sons is injustice.
