Husband saying “Tum Mutalaka ho”

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: My husband said “Tum Mutalaka ho” three times in a way that he’s singing a song. He didn’t say it with the intention of divorcing me but he said it three times. I knew it that if he’s going to say “Tum Mutalaka ho” 3 times I’ll be divorced but I didn’t stop him. Is it still valid? Am I divorced now?

Bismillaah

A: Yes.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
