Are women in their monthly state allowed to pray. When reciting Durood at any time, does one have to read Bismillah before every Durood

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

1).During their monthly cycle, what are women allowed to pray. I once heard that you are only allowed to read Durood. 2).Does one have to make wudhu in order to pray whatever is Mufti Saheb’s answer to above. 3).Does one’s clothing become napaak if in the monthly state. 4).When reciting Durood at any time, does one have to read Bismillah before every Durood or is just once before beginning sufficient.

Answer

1. It is permissible for a woman to make Dhikr and recite any Du’aa during
her monthly cycle. If the Dhikr and Du’aa is from the Qur’aan, e.g. Surah
Faatiha, etc. she may recite them with the intention of making Dhikr or Du’
aa.
2. It is not necessary to make Wudhu during the monthly cycle to make Dhikr
or Du’aa.
3. The clothing worn during the monthly cycle does not become impure if they
are not soiled with any impurity.
4. It is not necessary to recite Bismillah before reciting Durood.
