What is the ruling of the annual Qurbani for one performing Hajj?

What is the ruling of the annual Qurbani for one performing Hajj? is he required to slaughter an animal or not?

Answer:

Assalamualaykum wa Rarahmatullahi was Barakaatuhu

If a Hajji becomes a resident (muqeem) of Makka Mukarramah during the days of Hajj and he is doing Hajj e Qiraan or Hajj e Tamattu’, he will be required to sacrifice two animals. One for the completion of the Hajj (Dam e Shukr) and the second one will be the annual Qurbani one normally does. The Dam e Shukr must be sacrificed within the boundary of the Haram whereas the annual Qurbani can be done there or in one’s locality. (Fatawa Hindiyah vol 5 pg 322, Gunyatun Naasik pg 116)
