Q. Does the Iqaamah for Salaah have to be given directly behind the Imaam on the Musallah or can it be given from anywhere in the Masjid?
A. The Iqaamah may be given from anywhere in the Masjid whilst facing the Qiblah. It is not necessary for the Iqaamah to be given directly behind the Imaam in the Masjid. (Ahsanul Fataawa 2/282)
