Question: Asalaamu Alaikum. Are those who are taking part in qurbani required to fast until the animal is sacrificed?
Answer: Assalamu Alaikum,
No. this is not a requirement. It is only mustahab to refrain from eating anything until the animal is sacrificed, and then after a portion of the animal is cooked, one partakes of it.
