Asalamu aleikum!
I attempt to get married, but I get proposed by those men who are not suitable for me in terms of emotional intelligence, life values and education. I never cared about money but always cared about sharing with a potential husband similar values and life aspirations. For example I met several practicing muslim men who don’t think that education is vital for women or think that a wife must live with their relatives and serve their entire families. There were several men who claimed that hitting a wife for disobedience is totally permissible and even recommended.
So which part of my story is qada and which is in my control(Am I being too picky)
And can I marry the one who I don’t like only to perform Prophet’s (saaw) Sunnah?
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
