Leaving ones hands loose on ones side before finishing the Qiraat in Salaah

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by TheMufti.com

Q. Is it correct to leave one’s hands loose on one’s sides before finishing the Qiraat and going into Ruku?

A. It is Sunnah to hold and place one’s right hand upon ones left hand below one’s navel throughout the duration of one’s recitation in the standing posture of Salaah. It is against the Sunnah to drop one’s hands to the sides before the recitation is terminated in the standing posture of Salaah, although the Salaah performed will still be valid. (Hidaayah 1/49)
