Question
If you have missed rakaats in jamaat salaat and when the Imam says “asalamualaykum wa rahmatullah”:
- When do you stand up – after them Imam says first salaam or after he says second salaam?
- When you stand up, do you – say allahu-akbar and thana or do you just says thana and continue?
Answer
- Second salaam because there is a possibility that the Imam might go into sajdah sahw and you would have to rush back into sajdah if you had stood up.
- You say takbeer while you are in motion and when you stand straight, you start with thana.
