Supplication for Cure from Persistent Sickness

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by ShariahBoard.org

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullah

I am a 30 year old single female. I have been suffering from constant illnesses such as depression, fevers etc. for the past 8 years. For the past 4 years, I have been suffering from severe abdomen pain and just a year back the doctors have confirmed that I suffer from something called chronic pancreatitis. In addition to this disease, my condition is such that one minute I am totally feeling great but the next moment I start feeling lethargy, dullness, high fever, severe body aches etc. People who look at me do not know what pain and suffering I am going through as physically I look totally fine and everyone tells me I look perfect. I have consulted with the best doctors in Hyderabad but allopathic medicine further aggravates my issues so I am currently on homeopathic medicine.

I have firm belief that sickness and health is only in the hands of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta‘ala and to be content with His will is desired. But I also want to ensure that I read a dua or a wazeefa which can help me decrease some pain due to my disease and the other issues I have mentioned above. Please advise me regarding a dua that I can read for the betterment of my situation.

JazakAllah Khair

الجواب وباللہ التوفیق

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullah

We reccomend that you change the method of your treatment and consult with a better doctor to continue your treatment and also complement your treatment with light excercise at your home. In addition, you should read surah al-Fatiha, ayat al-Kursi, surah al-Kafiroon, surah al-Ikhlas, surah al-falaq and surah an-Nas and the following verses (3 times each) daily and blow it on yourself:

قُلْنَا يَا نَارُ كُونِي بَرْدًا وَسَلَامًا عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ(الانبیاء:۶۹)

وَبِالْحَقِّ أَنْزَلْنَاهُ وَبِالْحَقِّ نَزَلَ وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرًا وَنَذِيرًا(الاسراء:۱۰۵)

Also blow it on some water and keep on drinking that water. InshahAllah Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala will give you shifa.
