Seller asking for a higher amount after deal was concluded

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I have bought a plot on 18 months payment schedule but due to some reason I could not pay full amount. I have made 73% of payment to the seller. For this delay the seller is saying either pay me more amount or I will cancel the deal. What is the rulling of sharia in this case?

Bismillaah

A: Once the deal is concluded the seller does not have the right to independently cancel the sale.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
