Dua for excellent memory and for memorising the holy Qur’an

Answered according to Hanafi Fiqh by Tafseer Raheemi

Can to give a dua for excellent memory.

And can you give dua for excellent Qur’an hifz memory

1 – One practice for excellent memory is to pray:

یَا قَوِیُّ

11 times after every salah while placing your hand on your forehead.

2 – Another practice is to pray durood shareef before and after the following dua, which should be read 9 times after fajr:

اللَّهُمَّ نَوِّر قَلبِی بِعِلمِک وَاستَعمِل بَدَنِی بِاِطَاعَتِک وَبَارِک وَسَلِّم

3 – One can also read Surat-ul-A’lah (30th para, page 831) once after Asr salah everyday. read whilst placing the hand on the heart, blow on hand and wipe over chest.

When one reaches the ayat:

سَنُقرِئُک فَلاَ تَنسیٰ

then one should write this ayat (using only a finger, not a pen) on the palm of your hand three times and then rub the hand over the heart.

4 – One other practise, specifically for memorisation of the holy Qur’an, is mentioned at the back of all 13 lined qurans about the famous story of how Hazrat Ali radhiyallahu anhu eventually acquired an excellent memory in order to memorize the qur’an and the ahadeeth of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam
