The Hadith: ‘Allah Ta’ala loves those who are knowledgeable’

Is this a Hadith?

أوحى الله إِلَى إِبْرَاهِيم إِنِّي عليم أحب كل عليم

Answer

‘Allamah Tajud Din Subki and ‘Allamah ‘Iraqi (rahimahumallah) have stated that they have not come across a chain for this narration. The narration should therefore not be quoted until it can be verified.

(Tabaqatush Shafi’iyyah Al Kubra, vol. 6 pg. 288 and Al Mughni ‘An Hamlil Asfar, Hadith: 18)

Translation

Allah Ta’ala revealed to Ibrahim (‘alayhis salam), ‘I am the All Knowledgeable and I love those who are knowledgeable’
