Is it haram to delay one’s namaz. What are the consequences.

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by ShariahBoard.org

Is it haram to delay one’s namaz. What are the consequences.

To delay prayer past its preferred time without an excuse is a grave sin; it is not as great of a sin as missing prayer altogether, but there’s still a degree of disobedience involved in delaying prayer without an excuse. That’s why it’s still a big sin.
