How to clean a carpet that has been urinated?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by ShariahBoard.org

If children urinate on the carpet, what is the procedure to make it paak (clean) and if it dries and after our wudhu our wet legs touch that are, then is our wudhu still valid?

Water should be poured on the carpet, and then that mixed impure water should be soaked up (either with a machine or by hand). Repeating this procedure three times would clean (purify) that part of the carpet. If a wet feet (from doing wudu or other activities) or wet clothes are placed on that part of the carpet on which a child has urinated, then if the wetness from these wet objects (feet or clothes etc.) transcends into the carpet then that part would be considered impure.
