What qualities does she have to possess – can we chat – phone her – can we search on internet

1) What is the basis on which we have to find a bride. What qualities does she have to possess.
2) Can we communicate with her (by chatting or talking on phone), if not then how do we make sure that she has the qualities that we wish she should have.
3) Is it permissible to search for a bride on internet.

To get more information about the bride, you can ask her male relatives about her, or ask any of your female relatives to talk to her or her relatives to find about more her; but you cannot talk to her direct or communicate with her through chatting etc. Although, there is permission to look at her; but only the face so that is peace of mind.
