Is it allowed in Islam for a woman to remove the hair from her arms, legs, thighs, and lips.
الجواب وباللہ التوفیق
It’s permissible without any کراہت (Karahat) for a woman to remove those hair which are naturally disliked by the husband. To remove the hair without any necessity from the limbs mentioned in the question is though permissible but it’s against the etiquettes.
قال ابن عابدین: وفي حلق شعر الصدر والظھر ترک الأدب (رد المحتار، الحظر والإباحة، باب الاستبراء)
وقال ابن عابدین: ”والنامصة“ ․․․ ولعلہ محمول علی ما إذا فعلتہ لتتزین للأجانب، وإلا فلو کان في وجھھا شعر ینفر زوجھا عنھا بسببہ، ففي تحریم إزالتہ بعد، لأن الزینة للنساء مطلوبة للتحسین، إلا أن یحمل علی ما لا ضرورة إلیہ لما في نتفہ بالمنصاص من الإیذاء․ الخ (رد المحتار، کتاب الحظر والإباحة فصل في النظر والمسّ) فقط واللہ اعلم بالصواب
