Video games and TV taking away from one’s fast

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Seekersguidance.org

Dear questioner,

May Allah bless you and increase you in good.

Watching television or playing video games does not break the fast. There is no fast after Maghrib, so maybe you meant during the day.

Fasting starts at dawn or Fajr prayer until the sunsets. Among what breaks the fast are eating, drinking, and sexual intercourse.

Here is a link to read more about this and become very informed about this matter.

It is a long pdf but one of the best I have ever seen on fasting, not to mention reliable and accurate. Look up the section that addresses the topic of what breaks the fast.
