Q: Is the small alif symbol and alif elongation both the same? What if you over extend an alif elongation, does it alter the meaning?

A: Yes.

It may not always alter the meaning, but it is against the laws of tajweed.

Question: How can I concentrate in my Salaah with my eyes open?
