Member care Consultant: The roles that I play in this company are:
Sighing customers up to be a member by offering them a Emergency Road Side Assistance, total care and Extra care(these terms can be search on the website provided).
I would also be conducting estimate premiums for such insurance policies as Comprehensive, third party fire and theft and third party property Damage, if customer is satisfied with estimate I also issue an insurance policy for them, in which I give them a receipt number, meaning I take the payment.
I deal with existing member by amending their policies, like adding on vehicle to their policy, adding a driver and basically dealing with complaints.
The insurance Policy is estimated and an annual premium is allocated in which the member has a choice to either pay monthly or yearly if the member were to pay yearly then it would be a straight figure no changes however If they were to pay monthly then an extra say $111 will be added on to the premium.
I deal with all motor vehicle insurance by setting customer up for a policy or cancelling polices I also receipt policies and deal with renewals.
I am still in the training phase and we will be going through Home and content insurance also, which can be looked up in the website provided below. In this role it may be that some sales call could come to my phone because the sales department are overloaded with calls therefore I would also need to be dealing with the sales department not regularly but.
When signing a customer up for an insurance policy some excess applies because of certain issues for example a customer has had a lot of offences and incidents including theft charges. If he or she has an accident in which they are at fault they would have to pay a basic excess fee of $500 and a special excess fee of say $600, these are on top of the premium amount.
My question is with these following conditions presented is it permissible for me to work in this field and would my earning be halal.

Conventional insurance contains elements of riba, contractual uncertainty, and gambling that makes the solicitation and execution of insurance policies impermissible.
Working in an Islamic cooperative insurance (takaful) company would be one alternative. As for purchasing conventional policies to fulfil a legal requirement, reliable scholars of one’s locality should be contacted.
Contemporary scholars are agreed that selling conventional insurance policies is impermissible.
And Allah alone gives success.
