Reading from the Wall, and Reading About the Imam

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Qibla.com

Answered by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani

1. If a Hanafi is praying Salat be it Farz or Nafila and reads a soora of Quran off a paper stuck in front of him on a wall is that Permitted? Invalidates salat? Makrooh?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Walaikum assalam,

This would invalidate the prayer, as mentioned in Maraqi al-Falah, and in Ibn Abidin’s Radd al-Muhtar.

2. As I think each of the 4 imams had their own book of hadeeth on which they based their fiqh on (is that correct?) for example Imam Ahmed bin Hanbal has his Masnad and Imam Malik has al Muwta’a my question is did seidna Abu Hanifa has his own book of hadeeth? If he did what is the name of it in today and where can it be obtained from? do you roughly know how many ahadeeth it has?
