What is the proper method for doing the sajda tilawah outside of the prayer? does one say Allahu akbar when going down for sajda? if so, does one raise his hands as the beginning of the salat? does one make tasleem as at the end? Do hanafis recognize the second sajda in surah hajj? what about the sajda is surah saad?
AL-Salam alaykum
One says Allahu Akbar and goes into sajdah. Thereafter he says Allahu akbar again and rises from sajdah. There is no taslimah at the end.
According to Hanafis the second sajdah is Surah al-Hajj is not a Sajdah al-tilawah. The Sajdah in Surah Saad(?) is.
Do you raise your hands as in prayer? if you are sitting, do you have to stand up to perform the sajda? If one is reciting from memory and is about to come to verse of sajda, should he/she stop if they are not in a state of wudu or cannot perform sajda (ex. if he/she is in a car)? I have heard that it is makruh tahrimi to stop recitation because a verse of sajda is coming up ...
One should not stop the recitation but continue reciting. The sajdah al-tilawah can be made later.
