Praying in clothes worn while you are impure?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Qibla.com

Answered by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani

Do clothes become impure if they are worn immediately after having sex (before making ghusl)? Is it ok to pray wearing these same clothes if you are sure there is no impurity on them?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

alaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,

I pray this finds you in the best of health and spirits.

No, clothes don’t become ritually impure whether worn during or after sexual intercourse–and there is no need to wash them in such cases.

The only consideration is that if the clothes become affected by sexual fluids or other ritual filth, then this itself needs to be washed away.

And Allah alone gives success.
