I have a question regarding the copying of CD’s etc of Islamic (e.g. Yusuf Islam, Hamza Yusuf CD’s) and non-Islamic material (e.g. Operating Systems, Third Party Programs with copyright etc.). I have heard many differing views on this based on various degrees of proofs. What is the Shar3i view on this? Is it regarded stealing? or is it permissible?
