Q: Why Is it not permissible to stun cows, sheep and goats before slaughtering?
A: Stunning is not in accordant to the sunnat.

وكل ذلك مكروه لأنه تعذيب الحيوان بلا ضرورة والحاصل أن كل ما فيه زيادة ألم لا يحتاج إليه في الذكاة مكروه كذا في الكافي (الفتاوى الهندية 5/288)
