Sajdah for a pregnant woman

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: During pregnancy it is not possible to perform sajdah in the correct way with both feet on the right side, elbows touching the ground. Can we lift our buttocks, or place feet below the buttocks? What would be the right way of performing sajdah?

Bismillaah

A: Yes, it is permissible. Due to pregnancy and being unable to do the sajdah in the normal manner, you will be excused. You should do the sajdah however you can manage.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
