Performing Salaah behind an Imaam that shaves his beard

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: What is better, to offer Salaah behind a temporary Imam who don’t have a beard and his pants are below his ankles and I am not sure about his level of Islamic knowledge or alone without jamaat?

Bismillaah

A: If there is no other musjid in your locality besides this musjid, then you should perform Salaah behind this Imaam. Performing Salaah with Jamaat is waajib and earns one more reward compared to performing Salaah individually. One will not be sinful for performing Salaah behind such an Imaam. Rather, the sin will be upon the Imaam and those who appointed the Imaam to lead the Salaah.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
