Is it permissible for an asthmatic patient to wear a mask during Ihram? What is the ruling regarding Dam (obligatory animal sacrifice) in this case?

Assalam-o-aalikum, If an Asthmatic patient uses a mask while in Ihram does Dam become Wajib upon him or no? Please reply in detail.

Please be informed that it is not correct to wear masks etc. for a person who is in the state of Ihram, but if a person in spite of this wears then if he uses it less than for a day and night a Sadaqa becomes Wajib on him or else, a Damm. However if an asthmatic patient covers the face and nose etc to evade dust etc then there is a Shar’i excuse for him and Sadaqa or Damm too do not become Wajib upon him in this situation.
