Is there a Kaffara (fine/penalty) for falsely swearing on the Qur’an?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Jamia Binoria
My question is that I had kept my hand on Qur’an Shareef and swore falsely in fear of my wife. I am so ashamed of my this action and now I want to compensate for it. Do I have to pay some Kaffara (fine/penalty) on this or anything else? Please reply soon. Earlier also I had sent email in this connection. Thanks a lot. ALLAH HAFIZ

Questioner has become a grave sinner due to lying deliberately placing the hand on Qur’an Shareef. It has become necessary upon him to be penitent and make repentance (Thowba) and seek forgiveness (Isthighfar) sincerely. However no compensation in any form is applicable due to his action.
