My Passport and Visa are genuine but parents are my uncle

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Jamia Binoria

Aslamu-alikum to all the Teem Sir, my name is Khan and I am 21 years old. I am from Pakistan but employed in Dubai. My problelm is that although my Passport and Visa are genuine but parents are of my uncle, i.e. I have become the son of my elder uncle and come here. My younger uncle too is working where I work and I was given employment there because of him since he has told in the company that I am his younger brother. I would like to know whether this is correct and Halal? and Allhumdulillah I am performing Salath too. Is my income Halal because all this is being earned through telling lies and I am so much worried please help for God’s sake. And the other thing is that my uncle has told the Company that my (uncle’s) paraents are dead whereas Allhumdulillah my parents are alive but all this is to be done because of uncle. I don’t have peace in my life even now I am not well. For God’ sake please tell me whether my earnings now are Halal or Haram upon me, my brothers, sisters andmy parents? Jazakumullahu Khaira and please make Dua for me. Allah Hafiz

If the work what the questioner is engaged with is permissible and Halal, then it is undoubtedly Halal to draw the salary/wages resulting out of it, yet the questioner and his uncle have become sinners for adopting the aforesaid manner of lying and furnishing incorrect information. Therefore it is necessary for them to repent sincerely and make Thowba and Isthighfar and abstain from lying in future.
